Here's what we have to say:

Housing:

There is very limited on-campus housing, as the personal guest of a Hampshire Circus member. Email circusfolkunite(at)gmail.com if you'd like to see if we can hook you up.

Otherwise, two of the best & cheapest places to stay are the EconoLodge and the Hadley Inn.

Food:

We have a wonderful free bus system (the PVTA - rte 38, if you want to look up the schedule ) that can take you to Amherst in just 10 minutes, where there's great, reasonably-priced food (pizza, Subway, Tex-Mex, etc).

If you'd rather stay on campus, our Dining Commons has brunch (10.30am-1pm) and dinner (5-7pm) on weekends (priced something like $5-7 for all-you-can-eat, cash only). Then there's the Bridge Cafe in the Robert Crown Center, open from 3-11pm, with good food & pretty good prices, though there may be long lines (also cash only), and finally there's the Hampstore student store in the Library, which sells moderately overpriced snacks, sandwiches, and microwave food (cash & cards).
